Why is the affordability icon amber even though they can afford it?

This is probably because the applicant has stated on their application that they can’t afford the rent by their own means.

When the applicant gets to the affordability section they are asked: “Do you earn at least £X by your own means?” where X is the affordability amount for the application. This affordability amount is 2.5x the annual rent for tenants and 3x the annual rent for guarantors. Sometimes applicants get confused by this question and accidentally select the wrong option.

You can adjust this if you think they’ve made an error by going into the application through “complete in branch” and clicking on their affordability section and selecting the correct answer
